The world is filled with difficulties and problems for many people, including those who are faithful Christians. This series of discussions is designed to assist elders and ministers in providing basic counseling skills to assist others: knowing when to obtain help, knowing what to do in crisis situations, and becoming more comfortable in discussing the problems individuals may present. This set of DVDs, taught by Dr. Stephen B. Springer, is not intended to make you into a licensed counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist. However, heightened awareness, basic knowledge of counseling techniques, and self-confidence in dealing with others can be positive outcomes of this series.
