Description
Some in the Lord’s church clamor for a new way to interpret the Bible, one that willl give them greater flexibility to do what pleases them. Dave Miller, Ph.D., summarizes the views of those promoting a “new hermeneutic” by classifying their ideas into five categories which are then analyzed in light of the Bible. The final lesson demonstrates the effect of the “new hermeneutic” on the church as seen in changes in music, women’s role, doctrine of grace, elders’ authority, the Lord’s supper and fellowship.
